Do you have a servant heart? I think deep down we all do, sometimes it is just a little too deep down. We tend to get a little too wrapped up in our own needs, what we are doing, where we are heading, and getting the help that we need to get there. If we could just take a step back and look around for an opportunity to help others along their road to success, we would find our journey would be a little easier.
In his book 'The Travellers Gift' Andy Andrews talks about this concept of having a servant heart as part of one of the seven success principles. He says "A wise man will cultivate a servant spirit for that particular attribute attracts people like no other". The more you give back to others, the more they want to help you in return. It is the Law of Attraction at work, what you give, you get back (usually tenfold).
You probably have people like this in your life who are always there for you, and would do anything for you. It is safe to say you consider them your real true friends. They are the ones you can always turn to and are probably the same people that you would do anything for and help in any way that you can. You have probably noticed that these people are very well liked, have many friends and a large circle of influence; people love to be around them and share with them.
It is easy to get caught up in and stressing about the fact that nobody is helping us when we need them. If we can change our focus to looking for opportunities and get excited about helping someone else, we could be pleasantly surprised with the results. As stated in 'The Travellers Gift', "He who serves the most, grows the fastest".
